Role

Identity, wordmark, glaze labels

The brief

North Kiln sells small batches. Every batch has a different glaze, and the studio wanted the labels to say which kiln firing a bowl came from.

The identity

A narrow wordmark set from a rounded grotesk, stamped instead of printed on bags, and a label grid with a slot for batch, glaze and firing date.

Outcome

Labels come out of a thermal printer in the studio. The stamp is the only part that never changes.
